29/1/2014: Happy Birthday Adam

Craig and I went and met Adam in the village (HAPPY BIRTHDAY) and went up to the Tube Park for an hour or so. Fun times. We went and had lunch at Earls and then walked back to our condo where the boys had beers - they've now gone off to the pub and I'm here catching up on blogs, and will run my BodyJam chorey. Received my email confirmation yesterday that I'm all signed up for training. Yewwww. Tomorrow all going well, Craig is going to teach me how to snowboard.

28/1/2014: Lazy Day

Today we farewelled Sam and Ian - the next time we will see them will be at their own wedding in October!

Adam came over to our place for dinner and I cooked up a ton of stuff we had in the fridge/freezer. The boys drank beer and watched terrible TV game shows including "Bumper Stumpers". I did washing. Fun times. Craig and I also booked all our tickets for Seattle. :)

27/1/2014: Tattoo re-inked

This morning we farewelled Dave and Stacey and Nic. :(

Craig and I went down to Function Junction to see Dave at Black Ohm Tattoo to get the lines on my snowflake redone - I had my original tattoo done in the studio by Dave back in 2011 and it was lovely to see him again. We caught up quickly with Marcie too and got our wedding topper back. We walked up the valley trail and dropped in to see Cory (who was home sick with the flu, poor lady) - and she dropped us up to the village (she said she had to get out anyway) :)

We grabbed Maccas for lunch - and we went to the Brewhouse for dinner with Sam and Ian.

26/1/2014: Australia Day

We had the remaining guests over to our condo for a BBQ to celebrate Australia Day. Nic and I went up to Nesters and got ourselves some of the most awesome steaks. We were lucky to have our home BBQ star in Dave here to cook our meal. Afterwards those who weren't too dead went into the Village to check out what was happening at the bars.

24-25/1/2014: Vancouver and the start of farewells

Craig and I spent the majority of the day driving to and from Vancouver to have some photos taken - thanks so much to our amazing friend Leigh who drove us. We said goodbye to Anna, Dad and Barbara.

Dinner was at the Spaghetti Factory with the majority of the gang who were still in Whistler.

The following day we said goodbye to a bunch of people - Adam, Lamees, Dan, Peta, Emma, Mum, Ken, Simon, Raelene, and Belinda. I finally had a Bevertail after four weeks of waiting, but it made me sick. LOL - We had some of our remaining guests come up to our condo for Pizza... and it was a pretty early night from memory.

20/1/2014: Earls

Everyone did their own thing today.

Sam, Ian, Craig and I went down to Merlins for Brunch before Sam and I went into the village to get a few things. We had Cows Ice-cream! Always good.

Everyone came together for dinner at Earls (home of my favourite Chicken and Brie sandwich).

My friend Jess came up from the city for an overnight visit too. Was so awesome to see her.

19/1/2014: Whistler here we (all) come

Spent a lovely morning walking down to the waterfront with my Dad and Barbara - we went across on the ferry to Granville Island and had breakfast at "Edible Canada" which came highly recommended on Yelp. Because we had to head back to the hotel to check out, we left Dad and Barbara down at the Island to go sightseeing while we went back and checked out. We went down to Robson Street to Cafe Crepe with Sam, Dave and Stacey (where we waited a little bit too long for food, but received half off our bill - they were surprised at how patient we were) - then we went back to the hotel to catch our charter bus up to Whistler with (nearly) everyone. The bus trip took a little over an hour and a half. It dropped us at our various accommodations and then we all went out to the "Fire and Ice" show at the base of Whistler Mountain, and then to dinner at the Spaghetti Factory.

18/1/2014: Bucks/Hens Day/Night

Today we welcome Justin, Susan and Adam B to Canada! :)

I can't tell you too much about what the boys got up to during the day/night but I can give you a brief run down what us girls got up to. Not your average hens/bachelorette. I wanted to show the girls that have come all this way some of the sights around Vancouver - as well as visit a couple of "geeky sights" around the place. So we started out the day in Stacey's apartment with way too much food and the girls shared their favourite memories of time we've spent together. We donned our 'geek chic' and headed out into the city - stopping first at Scully's apartment (where The X-Files was filmed), a couple of geek stores on Granville Street and then we headed across to North Vancouver via the seabus and went up Grouse Mountain. Grouse mountain was also an X-Files filming location, but is also an amazing thing for tourists to do because of the view you can see from the top. Sadly on the day that we went up, it was foggy below so we couldn't see much - but when we got up above the clouds we had amazing views of clouds and mountains and sunshine - and we watched the sun disappear. It was the first time that Lamees had seen snow so it was pretty awesome to share that moment with her. We had some lunch at the top and took a bunch of photos and then headed back to our hotel to quickly freshen up before heading out to "CinCin" Restaurant on Robson Street. This is somewhere that came highly recommended by several people so we were really looking forward to it. The food was divine and the service was amazing.
